Adult Bible Study
Sundays, 8:30-9:30 a.m.
In the Parish Hall
A time for laughter, fellowship, and personal growth for adults of all ages.
We take delight in "studying" someone who is important to us. We want to know what makes that special person smile or celebrate. What matters to that person. What makes the person "tick." The study of God's Word is much like studying a beloved. It is not so much an academic exercise as it is an opportunity to draw close and get to know on a deeper and more personal level. We study God's Word in order to study God. The wonder of studying God's Word is that it makes knowing God in a personal and dynamic way not only possible, but peaceful and exciting, all at the same time.

Starting February 5, the Sunday morning Bible Study turns its attention to the origin and purpose of the Bible. It makes sense that an almighty creator God would have the ability to communicate with His creation. If He wanted to, He obviously could make sure that prophets and others would receive His Word and be able to pass it on to others as He wanted it to be passed on. But is the Bible this Word of God? To explore this, the Sunday morning Bible Study considers these questions: (1) What does the Bible say about itself? (2) Why can we believe what it says? (3) How did God make sure that what we have in the Bible is what He wants us to have?
The study is designed so that even if previous sessions are missed, a person will be able to learn and participate in each session. Come! Bring a friend! Rejoice in the gift that the Bible is!
