Advent -- Exploring a Miracle

Perhaps we’ve known about the birth of Jesus too long to fully appreciate the miracle it is.

Think of it. The invisible God takes on human flesh! The timeless One lives under the constraints of time! The almighty Creator finds Himself weaker than the laws of the universe He spoke into being!

Advent presents us with a special opportunity to savor the gift that Jesus is to the world, and each one of us. We discover the birth of Jesus was no accident, but a part of God’s great plan to save the world from sin and death, a plan set into motion that tragic day of sin in the Garden of Eden, proclaimed and promised through the prophets for centuries, and brought to a crescendo of joy when the angels sang to the shepherds in the fields near Bethlehem.

During Advent, the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, the people of Peace invite you to join them in the exploration of this miracle, and what it means for you and those you love. The schedule of special worship and growth opportunities for 2011 follows.
